What is The Race Music All About?

The Modern Era

Now all we need are flying cars..

Think about all the music you’ve heard in the last few days..

I’m willing to bet that unless you’re a member of a chamber orchestra or such, 9.5 times out of 10 it contained some form of electronic assistance.

From microphones and P.A Systems to Synthesizers, Electric Guitars and  Acoustic Guitars run through guitar pedals, to DJ decks, home theater systems, mp3 players , mobile phones and so much more!

We believe that we are very fortunate to be living in today’s age, where so many things about this incredible world has changed so quickly and in many cases dramatically.

This is mainly due to the technological advancements of the 20th Century and beyond..

TheRaceMusic is put together by a few good friends who love music and love technology!

Why the name? We’ll it’s short for the human race changing music…

We wanted to make this site in dedication to the effect that Technology has had on Music – in particular that of technology that is electrified!!!

So while technology might have made possible a new way of creating re-enforced necks for acoustic guitars or enabling the mass production of musical instruments – thus making it possible for more people than ever before to play music, that’s not what this site is about.

We’re going to concentrate on Electronic Instruments of all kind, and any electronic equipment that is designed to change the sound (from any source)..

As is fitting, the earliest posts on the site  concentrate on the history and past evolution of musical instruments.

We have and will continue to post stories about the first pioneers of these instruments/equipment and the sounds and music that they made from them.

But we believe it’s just as important to share with you the pioneers of today, experimenting, exploring and discovering new ways to create music, some finding inventive ways to use old technology and others helping to push technological advancement as they go.

As we following the path that is the story of the development of electronic music we believe that we will will discover much which will add to our love of this incredible artform.

We Invite you to share with us and theracemusic comuntity so we may all enjoy!

Speaking of which, don’t forget to check out our link section where you can check out the incredible sources of immense information that these fine sites already provide.

The Aim of this site is to provide an easily digestible version of the this wonderful genre, so, where possible we’ll be providing links to either our sources and/or other sites that go into much greater detail on the subject at hand..

On behalf of all of us at theracemusic;

Welcome aboard,
we hope you enjoy your stay!
